Skyhook pilots are some of the most highly trained and experienced in Europe with all high accuracy pilots having achieved the highest level 4 HESLO qualification. We specialise in vertical reference flying on 15- and 30- metre long lines with the ability to go longer if required and our aircraft are specially equipped with floor windows to maximise the pilots field of vision below the aircraft increasing the accuracy and safety for people on the ground or on the tower during a build.

Skyhook is one of a few helicopter companies in the UK with the correct equipment, skills and expertise to carry out tower mast construction. Sections can be transported from a lifting site and lowered from the air directly onto the tower flanges resulting in a very efficient installation particularly when supported by our MATS/EUSR qualified riggers. The efficiency of this solution not only minimises the impact on the environment local to the tower mast site, but can also significantly reduce the requirement for ground access routes to such mast sites thereby further reducing environmental impact, potential risk to habitats whilst also mitigating access track reinstatement costs upon completion of the works.

This solution leaves minimum impact on the ground access routes meaning minimum impact for site providers and less chance of incurring reinstatement costs after the completion of works
